Ecotourism increases in popularity every year. It's a win/win situation for the eco tourist and for the environment. At the Gaia Way we  promote sites which sponsor ecotourism.

EcoTourism Ring: Ecotourism Ring is the oldest  Ecotourism Webring worldwide. Since 1998, it unites genuine ecotourism websites worldwide.

EcoClub: directions to more than 40 eco lodges throughout the world, plus a wealth of information available to club members. Includes Brazil.

tropical nature logoTropical Nature: Tropical Nature Travel specializes in custom itineraries for individuals and groups interested in ec0tourism, including visits to rainforest lodges, as well as logistics for professional photographers and international film crews.

Brazil Nature: Here you will find information about Brazilian ecosystems, ecotourism, development and communication. This site supplies information that stimulates the correct development of ecotourism, respecting the environment.

The EcoTourism Game: In many situations, ecotourism fails to deliver on its promise. Many researchers have studied ecotourism's failures as well as its successes. In this game, you can try your hand at developing an ecotourism project in the Amazon.

Global Vision: Global Vision International promotes sustainable solutions for a rapidly changing world by matching the general public with international environmentalists, researchers and pioneering educators. Global Vision International was formed in 1998 to provide support and services to international charities, non profits and governmental agencies. Through their international network of 40 people in over 20 countries GVI continues to support many of the most critical conservation and humanitarian projects around the globe.

rainforest jaguarThe Quest: The Quest is a net of environmentalists committed to ecotourism working in Brazil since 1991. They promote environmentally focused activities in different ecosystems, mainly in the Amazon and the Pantanal.

Eco Adventure Tours: - Brazil Adventure International is a São Paulo based Tour Operator, offering trekking tours through the Atlantic Rainforest Reserves on Brazil's eastern seaboard.

Fazenda Barranco: Eco Lodge in the Brazilian Pantanal, Bioshpere Reserve of Humanity. See wildlife, forests, river and a functional ranch.

Tico Organico: Listings for 10 sustainable Ecotourism sites outlining opportunities, amenities, brief description of the location's natural resources, contacts, pricing - linked from a Costa Rica map. Some co-ops, offering short courses in growing, cultivating, curing, packaging herbs, coffee, cocoa. Description of non-profit demonstration farm to promote organic agriculture and shade grown coffee.
