Amedeo
started his professional career in Johannesburg, South
Africa, in 1964 where he worked for more than ten years
in the IT field, raising to the level of District
Manager for Southern Africa for International Computers
Limited (ICL), a major British computer company. In 1974
he joined Booz, Allen & Hamilton, reached the
position of Principal and was in charge of major
assignments to clients like White Martins, Norberto
Odebrecht, in Brazil, and Indian Head, Abbott Labs, in
the USA.
In
1980 he started his own consultancy in London, Ring Rock
Ltd., securing contracts for assignments all over Europe
for clients such as the British Rail, UK, the EEC,
Brussels, Fedor, France, Caleppio, Italy. In 1982,
Diebold International contracted Ring Rock staff to
support its IT consulting division to serve Ansaldo,
Italy, in a major restructuring of this client IT
processes using state-of-the-art OA techniques. In 1984,
Amedeo expanded his activities to California, while on
an engagement with Caleppio, and eventually got involved
with and became a director of Planet Press, a company
specialized in the development of sophisticated AI
software for government health care providers as well as
for private concerns.
In
1986, Amedeo co-founded CESAT Consultoria de Gestão, in
Sao Paulo, Brazil. By 1990, CESAT grew to become a major
consulting company in Brazil, with billing of over $8
million in 1989 and over forty full time professionals.
Clients served included national and international
household names such as: Citibank, Lloyd Bank, Sharp,
Alcoa, Banco Bozano Simonsen, Credicard, Construtora
Norberto Odebrecht, Grupo Abril, in project of strategy,
revenue enhancement, restructuring and re-engineering.
In 1995, after the sale of CESAT to Gemini Consulting, a
Cap Gemini company, Amedeo acted for the contracted
three years as Senior Vice-President, co-managing the
Brazilian operation. In that period Gemini sold major
projects to clients such as: Citicorp, Bradesco, Chase,
Credicard, Alpargatas Santista, Deutsche Bank, Sao Paulo
Alpargatas, Monsanto, Dupont, Reuters, OAS, Camargo
Correa, Promon, Embratel, Ericsson, Embratel, Metódo
Telecomm, NetBrasil in project of turn around, strategy,
sales and transformation.
Amedeo
has a diploma in Electronics from Milan, Italy, one in
Psychology from Johannesburg, South Africa, and Sloan
Fellowship from the London Business School, UK. He is
fluent in English, Italian, French and Portuguese, and
has a good working knowledge of Spanish and German. |
