Alba
Regina started in 1976 her professional career in
Salvador, Brazil, as recruiting and selection officer
for Desembanco, a development bank in the state of Bahia,
raising to the post of Personnell Manager for that
company in 1980.
Upon
completion of her Master she worked for Ring Rock Ltd.
in the Uk and Europe and later with Diebold
International where she was responsible for the human
and organizational development in a major project for
Ansaldo, Italy, in the occasion of their revision of
professional and managerial structures and processes,
and the introduction of state-of-the-art Office
Automation technology.
In
1984 she joined Planet Press, USA, a sophisticated
software designer for developmentally disable persons,
where she was responsible for the successful
establishment of its seminar practice: during a two
years period she sold over $1 million in fees to major
governmental organizations and several health care
providers in California, training well in excess of
three thousand practitioners and specialists in the
field.
In
1986 she returned to Brazil where she joined CESAT
Consultores, São Paulo, in charge of the Organizational
Development practice of the firm. Dusring that period
she participated and later led the four years long
project with Bozano Simonsen, a major bank in Rio de
Janeiro, which underwent a total restructuring of its
organization and structure. In 1992 she was promoted to
the position of partner of CESAT, in charge of selling
and managing major engagement with clients such as:
Bradesco, Citibank, ING Bank, Editora Abril, Dupont,
Monsanto, Net Brasil, initially as leader of her
Organizational Development practice. In 1995, with the
purchase of CESAT by Gemini Consulting, she was promoted
to the rank of Officer and was responsible for securing
approximately $8 million of fees, in charge of
multinational and multidisciplinary teams involving
complex cross-cultural projects to major national and
international corporation, mainly in the
telecommunication industry: Embratel (MCI), Promon,
Globocabo, Reuter, Telesp, etc
Since
1998, with the exit of Gemini from the Brazilian market,
Alba Regina spent most of her time between California
and Brazil as a Director of Internet Marketing Center, a company that
specialized in providing e-commerce solutions. In her
capacity as Officer of the company she supervised and
was responsible for the successful interventions and
implementation of organizational and human solutions to
problems deriving from the adoption of the Internet and
e-commerce, and worked for several companies such as:
ULG, Hollywood Products, in the US, and Globocabo, Itaú,
Globonet, Lucent, in Brazil.
Alba
Regina earned a Diploma in Psychology from the Federal
University of Salvador, Bahia, and a Master in
Organizational Psychology from the University of
Manchester (UMIST), UK. She speaks fluent Portuguese,
English and Italian and has good working knowledge of
Spanish. |
